After leaving Portland I decided to head to the Oregon coast and work my way down to California. Surfing was on my mind and I also wanted to do some kayaking. The wind was at about 30 knots so kayaking and trying out the new SUP (standup paddle board) didn't quite make sense. I still did some surfing but the water was really cold using the thin wetsuit that I use in Mexico. Guess I'll have to get a 6/5 wetsuit if I ever plan to surf the cold water. Oregon is a great place to surf with its beautiful coastline.
